Auto Kinetics (M) Sdn. Bhd., now known as AEC Engineering & Trading Co., is a privately operated company specializing in the agricultural machinery, industrial machinery, packing machinery, and food machinery industries. The company was founded in 1983 by Mr. Lai. His zeal for the machinery industry started with his selling of spare parts, agricultural machine products, and services
In 2004, the company was taken over by Shawn Lai based on a partnership with AEC Engineering & Trading Co, which resulted into more involvement with import and selling, customization and modification of machinery. In 2010 the company was registered, and a complete take over was carried out in 2012 by Shawn Lai and transformed into a limited company in the same year.
AEC Engineering & Trading Co Humbled Beginning
Though the company began its journey in a small town area in Jitra, it has managed to bypass expectations and successfully compete in the machinery industry for more than two decades.
In 2005, due to the company’s success, they moved into a more convenient location. A stunning 5000 square meter facility fully equipped with the most up-to-date large-scale production facilities and top-notch customer service, with a property value of 3-million ringgit (RM).
In fact, the scale of the company has grown so much due to intelligent management and fiscal prudence; they now house 30 employees with 20% of those employed as part of the company’s product research team.
Over the years of Auto Kinetics success, they have developed into a considerable sized company that produces and sells more than 100 types of machines consisting of fully automatic food-processing machines and industrial production line-machines.
With yearly sales of 200 units of reconditioned KUBOTA-tractors and thousands of food-processing machines, company products are sold not only locally in Kedah, but expand to areas west of Malaysia as well.
